Introduction

We are looking for a Junior Finance Business Partner to support the Retail and B2C business areas.


In this role, you will become part of the FP&A team and will provide support through financial updates, reports, and analyses aimed at strengthening insight and profitability within the business units.

The business areas include our Bordershops, travel shops, and onboard restaurants, as well as activities related to transporting cars and passengers on our ferries.

Job description

Scandlines is a ferry company operating between Denmark and Germany. The company is committed to sustainable ferry operations, and the green agenda is an integral part of all our activities. As a Junior Business Partner, you are expected to align with our strategic ambitions while also serving as a Business Partner for the business.

Area of responsiblities

This role is responsible for supporting the organization within Retail and B2C (Passengers), including:

 

  • Analysis of traffic and ticket types on the Rødby/Puttgarden and Gedser/Rostock ferry routes
  • Margin analysis within retail and catering onboard the ferries
  • Responsibility for collecting and reporting on the company’s investments
  • Assisting with monthly reporting, analyses, and performance tracking through KPIs
  • Participating in the budgeting process and ongoing forecasting throughout the year
  • Contributing to the development of reporting and KPIs to enhance performance
  • Ad hoc analyses

Competencies

We are looking for a Junior Finance Business Partner who is comfortable collaborating at all levels of the organization and enjoys engaging with others. You have an academic degree (bachelor's or master's) and perhaps a few years of experience in Business Controlling, ideally with a commercial mindset.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who:

 

  • Can analyze, understand, and solve complex problems
  • Is an excellent collaborator with both stakeholders and team members
  • Has personal drive, takes initiative, and focuses on delivering results
  • Is structured, proactive, and skilled at building relationships and followership
  • Is approachable and contributes positively to team culture
  • Has knowledge of Power BI (an advantage, but not a requirement)
