Risk Manager
We are looking for a Risk Manager to support the Group in a wide range of tasks all critical to our continued development as a key infrastructure operation in Northern Europe.
The position has a direct reference to VP, Head of Treasury & Risk Management (TRM).
Scandlines is a renowned ferry operator between Germany and Denmark, connecting two routes multiple times per day and based on a strong German-Danish collaboration. In 2023, Scandlines transported close to 6.4 million passengers, over 1.6 million cars and over 700,000 freight units.
The company is aiming for a sustainable ferry operation and the green agenda is a part of all our activities. Within short time, a new fully electric ferry will become a part of the Scandlines Fleet.
As a Risk Manager you will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and Insurance function. This position will be involved in the whole risk management process – from identifying and analyzing risks to monitor and manage these risks through insurances, hedging and monitoring procedures. The department also today handle all claims and insurance matters. As you will be a part of a smaller team TRM, additional tasks within currency risk, bunker risks and other related treasury tasks can come to play.
TRM is a small department involved in all major projects throughout the group, and we work directly with Senior Management and the owner group. This position comes with great possibilities to impact the road ahead, both for Scandlines and yourself.

We are looking for a Risk Manager, who is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. You hold an academic degree and have experience within the field of risk management or similar.
Previous experience with ERM and/or insurance is an advantage but not a requirement.
Further, we are looking for someone who is good at creating relations and has a pro-active and pragmatic approach to the workday. One week you might be negotiating insurance policies, and the next you might be looking into the cash handling in our Bordershops in Puttgarden or Rostock.
