Jobbeskrivelse
The Role of Business Development Manager
Scandlines has launched a 2030 strategy across all business units, and as Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in securing its successful implementation within B2B, working closely with stakeholders across the organization. The strategy outlines Scandlines’ ambition to develop the fastest and greenest corridor connecting Scandinavia with the European continent.
In this role, you will drive and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen our digital transformation, elevate our customer approach, anchor new projects in the organization, and create measurable commercial value – all with a strong data foundation.
We have already initiated several strategic development projects aimed at realizing significant potential within areas such as go-to-market, customer segmentation, and digital transformation. You will be responsible for taking several of these projects from idea and initiation to execution and implementation, in close collaboration with the B2B Sales team and relevant project groups.
Ansvarsområder
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Take overall responsibility for Scandlines’ 2030 strategy for B2B in close collaboration with the SVP, Head of B2B Sales – including driving implementation through annual action plans, ongoing adjustments, and performance tracking.
- Execute strategic projects across the B2B organization using a LEAN-based approach. This includes shaping project definitions, developing business cases, managing stakeholders, identifying relevant data and insights, and ensuring progress in project teams.
- Co-create key strategic elements of Scandlines’ 2030 strategy for B2B with a strong focus on delivering business impact and elevating customer satisfaction.
- Support product development by qualifying innovation ideas with clear commercial potential and by refining existing projects and processes.
- Be an integral part of the day to day performance management and execution to drive transparency, alignment and measurable success for the team
The position collaborates with all parts of the organization and with our B2C organization, Marketing & Digital Transformation, IT, and Finance.
The role reports to the SVP Head of B2B Sales, and you will become part of an organization with highly skilled colleagues, a fast-paced environment, a great atmosphere, and plenty of room for initiative and development.

Your Qualifications
Experience in freight or logistics is a plus, but you may also come from consulting or a commercially focused role. Most importantly, you know how to turn ideas into tangible progress and practical action plans. You’re hands-on, data-driven, and pragmatic, and you thrive working across functions. In every collaboration, you bring structure, clear insights, and a sharp business mindset. In addition, you have:
- Experience developing and driving strategy processes, ideally in a B2B environment
- A strong commercial mindset and confidence working collaboratively across functions
- A background in structured project development and management, including relevant project tools (ideally LEAN)
- An interest in working analytically with insights and data as part of your daily tasks
- Professional proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken
Beyond that, you communicate clearly, drive tasks forward with high engagement, and recognize when pragmatic solutions are needed to ensure progress.
