We are looking for a LEAN expert with a strategic edge, who can spearhead our LEAN transformation. A passionate leader, who will promote adoption of a LEAN mindset and culture, support the leadership teams in enhancing quality and efficiency in services and processes, and take the practical lead in fostering an environment of continuous improvement throughout the Scandlines organization.
The position is new, with direct reference to the CEO.
Scandlines is a ferry company which operates between Denmark and Germany. The company is aiming for a sustainable ferry operation and the green agenda is a part of all our activities. As Head of LEAN you must adapt to our strategic ambitions, while implementing and promoting LEAN mindset and culture in the organization.
This role is responsible for driving process improvements and develop a framework for standardized processes across the organization. This includes to:
- Promote and facilitate adoption of a LEAN mindset and culture
- Develop a framework for business development, standardization and process improvement using LEAN methodologies
- Take the lead in fostering an environment of continuous improvement together with teams and leaders
- Plan, facilitate and follow up on improvement activities.
We are looking for:
A professional Head of LEAN, who is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. You hold an academic degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree) and have at least 10 years of experience in leading LEAN mindset and improvement efforts as e.g. consultant or responsible for in-house process improvement.
Further you are certified within the LEAN framework e.g. Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt, or equivalent certification.
In addition, we are looking for someone with:
- Ability to translate vision into action and measurable results
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and solve complex problems
- Excellent collaborator with cross-functional customers
- Personal drive with a focus on taking initiative and producing results
- Structured and enterprising, and good at creating relations and followership
