Job description

As our IT Security Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our security framework, policies, and practices. You’ll work closely with IT, compliance, and business teams to identify risks, design solutions, and support a strong security culture across the organization.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role – perfect for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with collaboration and communication.

Area of responsiblities

  • Monitor, assess, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce IT security policies and standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and advise on security best practices
  • Advise on best practices using AI, IoT and OT
  • Collaborate with IT teams on secure architecture, networks, and systems
  • Support compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2)
  • Support Incident detection and management, orchestrate responses to security breaches, and support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts
  • Provide training and awareness sessions for employees
  • Stay updated on the latest threats, trends, and technologies in cybersecurity

Competencies

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in IT, information security, or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and security controls
  • Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of how AI may impact an organization security risk exposure
  • Knowledge of the ferry or shipping industry is beneficial but not required
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus
