We are seeking a skilled Project Management Office Leader to join our organization and contribute to our growing portfolio of projects.

 

This is a newly established role reporting to the CEO.

Role Overview

 

The PMO Leader will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by providing essential project management support and governance. This role involves working closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

 

Area of responsiblities

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in the development and management of project plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, monitor, and manage project risks and issues, providing timely updates and mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, dashboards, and project records.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Tracking: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and assist with financial forecasting and reporting.

Competencies

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a PMO role or similar project management support position.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.

Personal skills

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
